  • What are the Principles of Republicanism?

The Republican Party itself was formed in 1854, founded by anti-slavery expansion activist, led by Abraham Lincoln with its ideals firmly rooted in the concept of government of the people, by the people, for the people. Today, the party's platform generally reflects American conservatism in the U.S. political spectrum and is considered center-right, in contrast to the more center-left Democrats. The concept of Republicanism has changed over the years and even today it can mean something different to each person. Traditionally, the Republican Party has been associated with those who advocate for lower taxes, less government spending and more individual freedom.

  • Who can join your Club and how?

If you are a registered Republican in any state you can join.  Special exceptions are made for teenagers and legal non-citizens who are not yet able to register to vote.
  • What do I get for my membership fee?

There are two classes of membership.  Members have access to our members only webpage where they can see videos of past speakers.  In addition to the benefits provided through regular membership, Elephant Club members get free name-badges and priority seating at events.
  • How many members are in your Club?

Membership varies year to year.  Typically, we expect 80 or more members per year.
  • Do I have to live in Collier County to be a member?

No, you are welcome to join even if you can't attend often. You can keep up to date with our activities on this website, especially through the members only webpage.
  • Do I have to be a registered voter to belong?

Typically we require that, but we will make an exception for those who cannot legally vote because they are under-age or not yet citizens. You can download a voter registration form on the website of your county of residence.
  • Do you work on political campaigns?

We encourage all of our members to work on campaigns and help get Republican candidates elected to office.
  • Does your club follow a particular “wing” of the Republican Party? What is your specific ideology?

Our club is founded on the principles of limited government intervention in peoples' lives.  We believe that free market capitalism with limited government regulation and limited social safety nets is the best system to lift people out of poverty.  We believe in accountability in the education system, a strong military, freedom of religion, freedom of speech, and the rule of law.  We do not represent a particular wing of the party and respect everyone's beliefs and opinions so long as they are reasonable and expressed in a respectful way.  Our members fall anywhere within the  right wing of the political spectrum.
  • How can I publicize my event or candidacy with your organization?

The best way is to come to our meetings and make an announcement.
